With drones undoubtedly being the technology of the future, with uses in every industry, the youth of today must be educated on how to use them. However, the current issue is a lack of educational resources for those who need to learn the most: high schoolers and young adults. The solution? COM3T Drones, which is making drone, and STEM, education accessible and affordable.
COM3T Drones is a startup created by high schoolers to help promote the growth of the drone industry by breaking down the main barrier that inhibits younger individuals from getting into and learning more about one of the fastest growing industries in the US: lack of education.
The offering? An entry-level drone kit, containing all the parts required to make a high level, partially autonomous drone as well as a step-by-step course to guide users through everything related to drones, starting from the basics of what drones are, all the way to the building, coding, and flying the user’s very own drone. This process is made even simpler and more educational using the innovative plug and play approach being used by the team, eliminating the need to solder and instead of using parts custom-built by the team to allow for the smoothest educational and flying experience. All of this comes at a competitive price of approximately $400-500, creating the right priced, right-sized solution for all those unable to learn more about drones.
The team creating it, Arnav Garg and Madhav Nair, are committed to solving the problem, having experienced a lack of resources in the drone industry many times prior. Both are massive drone enthusiasts who have tried to build drones since before they were teenagers, but were often lead astray by incorrect information, incompatible parts, or injury from mechanics such as soldering that aren’t accessible to teens and young adults.
Hence, they are more invested in creating the best possible solution than any other commercial business and have struck gold with their combination.
The two members of the team were brought together during a summer incubator, where they learned more about the phases of launching a venture and have brought that summer project into the real world in the months since the end of the incubator, now looking to make their mark on the drone industry and the greater world.
As the initial version of the product nears completion, COM3T Drones, is looking to begin an initial round of beta testing, where they will ship kits, hand-made by the founders themselves, as well as a lifetime subscription to the course, right to your door.
The number of kits is limited (approximately 7 kits will be going out), so make sure to get your hands on this unique opportunity right away so that you can explore the depths of drones like never before!
